TRUSTED CHARITY PARTNERS
In the UK, we have a particularly rich and mature charitable sector. That is why we have partnered with existing charities and will continue to do so as we work across the country.
Our very first partners in the UK were Liverpool Charity & Voluntary Services. They are a member of the United Way network and are delivering collaborative, community impact initiatives in Liverpool, while supporting and nurturing the local charitable sector. We are proud that they are one of our charitable partners. We are talking with and actively developing more partnerships with national and local charities across the UK.
Action Tutoring is an example of an educational charity we are working with that supports pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve a meaningful level of academic attainment. They help the pupils’ progress to further education, employment or training by providing high quality volunteer tutors to work with pupils, increasing their subject knowledge, confidence and study skills. Visit the Action Tutoring twitter to find out about their recent activities.
We have partnered with Beyond Youth which began in 2004 to equip people of all ages with the tools and understanding needed to lead productive lives as part of their communities by breaking the cycle of negativity and marginalisation. They aim to provide hope for the future by empowering people in positive decision making, building self-belief and encouraging all those involved to accept their social responsibility to create stronger individuals and communities. Find out more about the charity and their Chance2Change programme.
Doorstep Library is charity we have partnered with that brings books and the magic of reading directly to the homes of children in some of London’s most disadvantaged areas by recruiting and training volunteers. They aim to improve not just reading skills, but confidence, self-esteem, articulacy, social integration, academic performance and even long-term employment prospects. Find out more on the Doorstep Library’s twitter.
