To empower people in local communities across the UK, and help them to reach their full potential through 3 key pillars:

  • HEALTH

    We fight for equal healthcare. To ensure that every person who needs personalised care or extra help with their physical or mental wellbeing gets access to the treatments they need.

  • EDUCATION

    We fight for the next generation. For a fairer system where every child and young person across the country has access to an excellent education and opportunities for their future.

  • INCOME

    We fight to give hope for tomorrow. To provide financial support for individuals and families who are struggling to make ends meet and help them take control of their next chapter.

    While not everyone is born with access to the same resources, everyone should have access to equal opportunities. Equity runs through our veins, and fighting against systemic inequalities is at the heart of what we do.

    UK communities can be multicultural and diverse, but not everyone always feels as though they belong. We want to eliminate these barriers, creating environments where people feel welcomed, valued and respected.

United Way is a global organisation that supports local communities around the world in more than 40 different countries

Communities all over the world face similar challenges, but each one requires a unique approach to solving them. United Way UK was established in 2014 to ensure that every UK family and every UK individual can reach their full potential. Harnessing experience and learnings from United Way Worldwide, we continue to use our local knowledge and global expertise to implement the very best programmes for communities across the UK.

A network of over 1,800 local nonprofit fundraising organisations. United Way has over 130 years of experience globally, evolving to meet the needs of the times. Each territory develops their own community-led solutions to support those who need it most.

CONNECTING LOCAL CHARITABLE GIVING TO LOCAL COMMUNITIES

We go where the need is. Our focus is driven by the local community and we support giving in the form of funds, time and expertise. United Way UK works with partners, businesses and individuals to provide everything a community needs to thrive (education, financial stability and health).

OPTIMISING EFFICIENCY, DELIVERY AND IMPACT

United Way UK connects our corporate and charity partners efficiently to amplify their impact. We optimise time and resources, building end-to-end solutions that meet corporate and community goals. Our funding is privately sourced so that we are constantly driving new revenue to the voluntary sector.
